NEW TACO BELL KITCHEN-X PROTOTYPE LAUNCH

March 4, 2026

The new Taco Bell ground-up prototype “Kitchen X” was launched in March by the Taco Bell design team that continues to break new ground in the QSR space. This new prototype is the first I’ve been involved in that welcomes and optimizes the aggregator’s experience while maintaining emotional and physical connections with walk-in and drive-thru customers.  The aggregator’s lobby is balanced with dine-in customer’s order and pickup counters in a way that maintains connections with the BOH staff as needed, while the bold exterior breaks the typical design rules.

The Brand Studio at Jefferson Architecture did a great job of bridging the gap between a conceptual branding package and real-world constructibility. Thanks to the hard work by the staff that interfaced with the Taco Bell design team to bring this new concept to life!
